About Jagatguru
I have been a student of my Spiritual Teacher Yogi Bhajan since I met him in 1978. I have been married to the one of the greatest women on the planet since 1983 and we have had four daughters all born at home. Our eldest is married and has two children of her own. Our youngest is in the 5th grade. We live in Kansas City. We are inclined toward edible landscaping and our home is on a half acre lot where we have a large organic garden every year.
Although both my spouse and I wear turbans and affiliate ourselves with the Sikh faith we decided not to push this onto our children. We figure that they will choose it if it is right for them. We are firm adherents of the concept that choice is stronger than force. As parents we feel it is our duty to help our children develop what they need to make correct choices so that they can develop their own sense of themselves. This can sometimes lead to some chaos but it always produces growth and it’s never boring.
I got my motto from Yogi Bhajan:
It’s not the life that matters, but the courage we bring to it.
